Bangkok: Thailand is set to host its largest social development exhibition, the Social Development Expo 2026 (SDX 2026), organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. The event, taking place from August 21-23, 2026, at IMPACT Challenger Hall 2, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province, aims to foster a society inclusive of all ages.
According to Thai News Agency, the SDX 2026, themed "Co-Creating a Better Society: Building a Better Thai Society for All Ages Together," will feature the country's first national-level expo specifically for people with disabilities. This initiative, a collaboration between the Association of the Council of All Types of Disabled Persons of Thailand and various disability organizations, aims to establish a future society with equal resource accessibility for all. The event will showcase exhibitions and experiential activities that focus on human capital development, rights, and welfare.
The exhibition space at SDX 2026 is designed following Universal Design principles, ensuring equal accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The event will host keynote speeches, policy forums, academic conferences, partner network presentations, interactive exhibitions, co-creation spaces, and service clinics. These activities aim to provide citizens with comprehensive access to information about their rights, welfare, and available government services.
SDX 2026 will feature three main zones. Zone 1, "Co-Protect: Social Protection," will focus on social protection and security systems. Zone 2, "Co-Develop: People and Opportunities," will emphasize developing potential and creating opportunities for Thais of all ages. Zone 3, "Co-Create: Innovation and Partnership," will present innovations, technologies, and new collaboration methods aimed at improving quality of life and addressing social issues.
