Election Commission of Thailand Marks 28th Anniversary with Ceremonial Events

Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) held an event to celebrate its 28th anniversary under the theme of "Integrity, Transparency, Impartiality, and Fairness." The ceremony commenced auspiciously at 8:09 AM with a blessing ceremony at the Brahma shrine in the Government Complex. The event was led by Mr. Narong Klanwarin, Chairman of the EC, along with Mr. Thiticheth Nuchanat, Mr. Jirutt Visaljit, Mr. Narong Rakroi, Mr. Anan Suwannarat, and Mr. Saeng Boonmee, Secretary-General of the EC, and other executives and staff.

According to Thai News Agency, the celebrations included a Buddhist ceremony with monks at 10:00 AM. Prior to this, the ECT office extended invitations to various government and private sector organizations, as well as the media, to offer their congratulations. MCOT Public Company Limited was among those who extended their congratulations and made a donation to the Sri Savangavadhana Foundation, an organization under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, the Princess Royal.

In the afternoon, Mr. Saeng Boonmee, Secretary-General of the Election Commission, is scheduled to present a summary of the achievements of the Election Commission and the Office of the Election Commission. This presentation is part of the activities marking the 28th anniversary of the Election Commission's establishment, focusing on the core theme of "Integrity, Transparency, Impartiality, and Fairness."
