JAS Denies Securing 2026 World Cup Broadcasting Rights Amid Ongoing Discussions

Bangkok: Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS) has officially refuted claims that it has secured broadcasting rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals. The company confirmed that while discussions are ongoing, no final agreement has been reached.

According to Thai News Agency, reports had surfaced suggesting that JAS had finalized a deal to broadcast the World Cup, which is scheduled to commence on June 11, 2026. These reports also claimed that JAS was preparing to hold a press conference on June 10 to announce the supposed agreement. However, Dr. Sorach Asavaprapha, CEO of JAS, clarified that although discussions have been held, no conclusion has been reached regarding the broadcasting rights.

In addition, a source within a group of journalists advised against spreading misinformation, stating, "Hello, sports journalists. At this time, JAS has not yet qualified for the World Cup. Please do not share fake news. We will inform you as soon as possible if there is any information. Thank you."
