Bangkok: "Sophon" led a group of executives and government officials in a religious ceremony commemorating the 100th day since the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha. Mr. Sophon Saram, President of the Parliament and Speaker of the House of Representatives, along with executives, civil servants, government employees, and staff of the Secretariat of the House of Representatives, participated in a religious ceremony commemorating the 100th day since the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavadi, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiripatchara Mahavajrarajathida, at the Parliament Building.
According to Thai News Agency, the ceremony included a Buddhist merit-making ritual and chanting by ten high-ranking monks from Wat Saket Ratchaworamahaviharn. This event was held in the House of Representatives' reception room overlooking the Chao Phraya River on the first floor of the Parliament building. The Speaker of Parliament, as the presiding officer, lit incense and candles to worship the Triple Gem, lit the ceremonial offerings before the Buddha image, and presented funeral robes. This was followed by a minute of silent meditation and prayer to dedicate merit to the deceased. Afterward, the monks offered blessings, and the presiding officer poured water as a symbolic act of receiving blessings.
This memorial service commemorating the 100th day since the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha was held to honor her memory and express profound sorrow and unwavering loyalty.
