Bangkok: The Pha Bong Subdistrict Administrative Organization is urgently assessing and addressing the damage caused by a severe landslide that occurred after heavy rains in Mae Hong Son province. The incident, which took place in the Huai Suea Thao village, resulted in roads being blocked by mud and debris, prompting immediate action from local authorities.
According to Thai News Agency, the head of the Pha Bong Subdistrict Administrative Organization, along with administrative teams, disaster prevention officials, and the engineering department, coordinated efforts with the Mae Hong Son Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office to address the situation. The collaboration involved visiting the affected area to assess the extent of the damage to roads and homes in Ban Huai Suea Thao, Village No. 8.
The heavy rainfall had caused significant damage, leading to landslides that obstructed access, making it challenging for residents to move in and out of the area. In response, authorities swiftly deployed machinery to clear the debris, clean the affected roads, and reopen them to regular traffic. The teams are continuing to monitor the situation closely to ensure that assistance is provided to those impacted by the incident.
