Muang thong thani: The Prime Minister inaugurated the "Silpa Cheep Prateep Thai OTOP: Uniting Hearts with Royal Grace" event for 2026, commemorating His Majesty's benevolence and pledging to promote products, expand opportunities in domestic and international markets, create value, generate jobs, and establish stable incomes for the people.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, presided over the opening ceremony at Challenger Hall 2, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center. The Prime Minister emphasized that the 2026 OTOP (One Tambon One Product) Fair is a significant opportunity to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, for her dedication to improving people's quality of life across the country. This is achieved through promoting occupations, generating income, and preserving the nation's arts and crafts as cultural heritage.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the event is a platform not only for showcasing local products but also for carrying on royal aspirations and promoting Thai wisdom, culture, and identity. The government aims to integrate technology and innovation with cultural and local wisdom to improve the quality and competitiveness of Thai OTOP products. This initiative seeks to increase market access, create added value, and ensure stable income for citizens and community entrepreneurs.
He further stated that the "Royal Thai Handicrafts and OTOP Fair: Uniting Hearts with Royal Grace" is crucial in demonstrating the potential of Thai community producers. The event reflects the success of ongoing OTOP product development, which is vital for the country's economic growth. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to all involved in organizing the event and encouraged public participation to support Thai wisdom and community entrepreneurs.
The event was officially opened by the Prime Minister placing a crystal ball on the ceremonial platform, witnessed by ministers, Ministry of Interior executives, and foreign ambassadors.
