Bangkok: A storm with heavy rain and strong winds caused a crane boom to break and remain stuck on top of a building. Following an incident where a crane boom broke and remained suspended on top of a construction site at Duang Khae Intersection in Pathum Wan District, officials have promptly dispatched personnel to investigate and plan immediate solutions.
According to Thai News Agency, residents living near the scene revealed that yesterday evening, around 6:00 PM, there was heavy rain and very strong winds, causing them to fear that the trees in front of their houses would fall. At that time, they were unaware that the crane had been damaged until residents across the street came to tell them that the crane boom had broken and was stuck on top of the building.
However, the situation around the area is considered safer today, as the point where the crane broke is far enough away from houses and residential roofs. Although residents are still closely monitoring the authorities' operations and hope that the situation can be resolved quickly to reassure those living in the surrounding area.
