Thai National Teams Set to Shine in Asian Games with Unique Ceremonial Attire

Bangkok: Live broadcasts of the Asian Games are set to commence on September 10th, providing sports fans with the opportunity to cheer on the Thai women's national team (Chaba Kaew) on September 14th and the Thai national team (Chang Suek) on September 16th. According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Kongsak Yodmani, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), announced that the 20th Asian Games, 'Aichi-Nagoya 2026,' will officially open on September 19, 2026, in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, and continue until October 4, 2026.The Thai national team's ceremonial attire, designed by the SIRIVANNAVARI brand under Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, represents an artistic fusion of Thai identity and modern design. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports extended the invitation for this design, which has sparked significant excitement among the Thai population, eager to witness the ceremonial uniforms during the opening ceremony on September 19th.The ceremonial attire incorporates ha nd-woven indigo-dyed cotton fabrics from the "Don Koi Model" in Sakon Nakhon province and cotton fabrics from the Foundation for the Promotion of Arts and Crafts under Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. These garments are crafted to instill pride in Thai identity, aligning with Her Majesty's vision of encouraging national support for Thai athletes in continental sporting events.Dr. Kongsak Yodmani further detailed that live broadcasts of the Asian Games will rotate across seven digital TV channels, including NBT, T SPORTS 7, and MONOMAX SPORTS TV, and will also be accessible via the AIS PLAY application. T SPORTS 7 will provide daily live broadcasts and match highlights starting September 20th at 8:30 PM.Football fans can look forward to the Thai women's team, "Chaba Kaew," competing against Japan on September 14th at 5:30 PM, broadcast on PPTV HD 36. Subsequent matches against Chinese Taipei and Vietnam will air on Channel 9 MCOT HD30. The Thai men's U-23 team will face Kyrgyzstan on September 16th, with live co verage on One31.
