London: Ludek Miklosko, a West Ham legend and former goalkeeper, has died at the age of 64. West Ham United have announced the sad news of his passing, revealing that Miklosko died peacefully after a long battle with cancer.
According to Thai News Agency, Miklosko is one of the most beloved players by the fans, having made over 300 appearances for West Ham in two different spells. In addition to his time at West Ham, the former Czechoslovakian international goalkeeper also played for Queens Park Rangers.
West Ham United have announced that a memorial service will be held ahead of their Carabao Cup third-round match against Fulham on Tuesday. Additionally, the Championship game at home against Queens Park Rangers on Friday, October 9th, will be held specifically in memory of Miklosko, along with further commemorative activities planned across the club's media channels.
The club praised Miklosko as "a beloved inspirational goalkeeper and our kind-hearted giant," highlighting the significant impact he had during his time at the club.
